If you want to create an amazing event you have to have amazing food! And it can’t just taste great. One key to creating magnificent events is making sure everything looks terrific! For instance, cast your eyes on these goblets!

Because they look beautifully delicious, they make whatever is put in them appear beautiful and delicious!
One place to get supplies for your food enhancing projects is cakeart.com. Their pictures look amazing, but I’ve never ordered from them, so I’d love to hear from someone who has! Comment or message me about your experience with cakeart.com.
Another example of food enhanced through the way it looks is this cake:
My eight year old brother helped decorate his birthday cake, and did the ghosts and some of the gravestones himself!
This is just a regular chocolate cake with chocolate frosting, and those are average cookies and candies. However, together they make something amazing that brings a smile to the face of all who see it!

Now, I know what you’re thinking, he’s so stinking cute, and, now that I know things can look great how do I make them look great?! Well don’t worry, I have a few basic steps for how to make anything average look extraordinary! To start with, a few great resources are Sugar Bliss Cookie, or Sugar Dot Cookies! Sugar Dot Cookies has step by step instructions for how to make your cookies spectacular!
Now onto my ideas on how to ensure that your food has a chance to shine at your event:
- Try to pick out food and beverages that can fit with the theme of your event! If you’re doing a Cinderella party bring little cheese cubes and put two stickers of a mouse back to back on each tooth pick! Then you have “mice and cheese” to fit with the theme, and an easy snack!
- DON’T OVER THINK IT! Unless the theme of the event is food don’t over think the food so that it takes up all your time. There are many different aspects of an event that are important. Make the food as fun and attractive as possible, while limiting yourself on the amount of time you spend on the food!
- Get extra. Of everything. Specifically the first time you do a new project like the cake above, buy some extra frosting, cookies, candies and if you NEVER BAKE, extra cake mixes or ingredients. I understand that a budget does contribute to this, so I don’t suggest buying out all the candy pumpkins in your city. Instead just make sure that you have a little extra of everything in case something goes horribly bad!
